Found a "for Sale" ad for my car that was posted on or before 12/28/2014. Wish I had the documentation!

Had the JPS pinstripes back then and the silver rocker panels that seems to be rare on the 72's, car is NOT a Special, was mnf. before Sept of 72, plus valve cover is painted red.

So that was your car back in 2014? Pretty car! You shouldn't have let it go...

Lotus Europa Central (http://lotus-europa.com/) has a section called "Lost Not Found" for people who sold or lost (!) their car and wonder where it is now - possibly to purchase it back. I always thought that section was a neat idea. I seem to remember more than one person found their old car! Unfortunately, it seems that the site is no longer reliably updated.

Nothing stops people from adding later design elements onto earlier cars...the physical design didn't change all that radically...so throwing on a set of rockers or having the car striped, though it would not have been 'accurate' for the build year is entirely possible.  FWIW, I know someone who had a set of rockers fab'd up for install on an S2...and put in a TCS dash and heater box...my first S2, I changed out the pushbutton handbrake to the fly-off TC style when I came upon one.  It fit, it worked...

Let it go???  Last thing I needed in 2014
Just bought my 4 stores back half of 2013, remodeled 2 of them in 2014, 124 miles apart, there is an old saying
"When You Are Up to Your Ass in Alligators, It Is Hard to Remember That Your Original Intention Was to Drain the Swamp"

That was my life for most of 2014, and besides I still had my 57,000-mile 1985 Colony Park wagon.

Just got this email from the owner of Legacy Motors, Jacksonville, FL - the dealer that sold the car 10 years ago. 

" It was a very solid car, excellent frame, and the fiberglass body has never had any damage. I sold it 8/2015 for $17500.  Don't have the mileage as it was exempt due to the age. The car had a NY title and was sold to a customer in Florida.  I did over $4k in upgrades.  New master cylinder, brakes, rebuilt carbs, rebuilt shift linkage, new axle joints and hub bearings, engine mounts, window motors, reseal windshield and more. The car was equipped with a Weber head and runs like a twin-cam should.  In addition, it had AVO adjustable shocks front and rear and a larger front sway bar, when it left here it was a really nice car, but the paint wasn't great.
