Hi All,
I am looking to replace my rear Lotus designed dedent mech. I would like to install the plunger amd spring from Renault.... anyone got a spare one.....please... or the dimensions.
I will also fit the sleeve and guide to the gear lever to lock out Reverse.

Many thanks,

Plunger  77 00 555 416

Spring  77 00 527 887

Pure unobtainium, I'm afraid.  About the best you can hope for is finding an owner of a Renault 365 who will measure the plunger for you.

Thanks JB.

I have been down the garage this morning taking measurements.... Going to get one made locally if I can't find one, the only measurement I'm a little unsure of is the total length of the plunger..... poss 25mm.....

A very interesting thread.

I have a 365 and it has been a constant source of problems, despite being fully rebuilt; I have also
struggled with the linkage as it has to be so precisely adjusted to work properly.

For that reason I've decided to junk the 5 speed (figuratively) and fit a 4 speed 352 box & linkage.
which I have just finished overhauling.

Having owned a 4 speed Europa many years ago the lack of overdrive never seemed an issue.

As promised.  Can't guarantee that it's accurate to the 10-thousandth millimeter, but the plunger and spring from Peter's kit as best I can measure.  Pretty sure this will get you close (I have NO idea what the spring loading is...but the length is as stated), so, YMMV and be prepared to adjust as needed to get it to work.

2.5 mm by my calipers.  Oh, and the depth of the drilling is 23mm, spring diameter is an RCH under 7mm.  Sorry, should have caught that in the drawing.

HTH.  Legend?  LOL.  Thanks!

RCH is a engineering technical term in the States. It stands for Red C*nt Hair, i.e. a very small distance.  :)

When I worked at Martin Marietta MANY years ago, there was a red headed lady draughts-person on the table next to mine. I don't remember we ever discussed that term but I think she would have taken it in stride!
