New member intro...ld
« on: Thursday,May 30, 2013, 08:53:44 AM »
Greetings to the masses, Finally got around to log in & join.

Have been a Lotus fan since the Jim Clark days and first owner back in 1973 when I purchased 2943r TCS...
The romance lasted 2 years, sold it... and went Formula Ford racing for the next 8 years.
Never owned an American car...MG'S, ALFA'S, TRIUMPH,VW, Fiat,...and Bikes...Ducati, Norton, BSA.
Always had a 3-4 new demos from field work with BMW Coporate each year for the past 25.
Finally retired and treated myself to renew the affair with the Europa and got 3307r. The project is near done with 5 years in to the full restoration. Looking forward to your conversations and help.

Regards, Lou Drozdowski

Hi Lou,

Hello and  :Welcome:

That's quite some motoring history, especially the bikes with a Ducati heading the list. I hope the "new" Europa lives up to the memories of 1973, it will be fun learning to drive the cars all over again, especially if you've spent the last few years driving a modern car.

Post up some pictures, let's see what you're about to hit the road in ?

cheers

Brian

Hi again,

There is a size limit on photos and also on the file extensions or file type that you can upload.   I tend to shrink mine to either 800 or 1024 wide, use jpg format and keep the size well within the limits at 2-300k, 600k is the limit IIRC.  Alternatively you can host them elsewhere, for example Photobucket.com, and then post links to their locations as on other forums.

 :Welcome: Lou,

The following extension are allowed for upload.
gif,jpg,jpeg,png,stl,pdf

There is a limit of 600k per item.
I did this because initially there was no limit on size and some uploads would take over the whole screen due to size. If your on a windows based machine it very easy to open the photo in "Paint" and use the re-size function.

Hope that helps

if you send me the pictures I can post them.....or, go to Photobucket and open your own account, it's free.  Then you can post those pix from Photobucket here.
