As mentioned above, below is the Banks bias adjustable pedal box fitted to an S2.

I built my own tandem clutch/brake pedal box.  I retained the cable clutch and used two Girling master brake cylinders.  It has a threaded balance bar.  If you would like, I could send you drawings in PDF format.  The pedal box uses clutch and brake pedals hinged at the bottom as used in the stock Lotus setup.

So you have two rods going through the frame to a pair of master cylinders mounted on the other side. Have you sorted out the mounting for the two master cylinders yet?  If so, how is the clearance to the steering rack and bodywork?

Attached is a photo showing the two Girling master cylinders and the 'distance tubes' between the Lotus frame and the master cylinders.  The distance tubes are needed to get the master cylinders clear of the steering rack.  Not the greatest photo, but you can get the idea.  The brake lines have not been attached to the cylinders in this photo.  I have drawings for all of the pieces in PDF format.  The reservoirs are remote mounted and accessed from inside the front boot - bracketed off the front of the vertical wall between the boot and the spare tire space.

Look at the photo I posted of the accelerator pedal and you will see the two holes for the two master cylinder pushrods.

For reference I have a similar setup to Tom (but in RHD form).
It works fine and clearance to the rack is OK with remote reservoirs located where you can get to them easily.

However, if starting from scratch for a competition car, I think I would go with a top hung pedal box and build in some fore-aft adjustment.
Aside from the fine tuning pedal position adjustment, you probably gain some potential legroom or options for exactly where you mount the drivers seat.
