Not sure if anyone is interested but here's a Special in bits for sale in the south of France. The advert translated says the following:

Lotus Europa special twin cam for parts
Cortina engine, Lotus twin cam cylinder head
All parts available: chassis, engine, gearbox, interior.
This car is aimed at those who are passionate about beautiful lines and technical efficiency on the road.
Colin Chapman, its creator, said "light is right," and let's do the same with this ad.
All email requests are cumbersome and tedious, whereas a phone call is light and quick....

Those photos only show a bodyshell without the metal bits.

No chassis, suspension, engine gearbox, if fact quite a lot of nothing and not much of value.
