'73 Twin Cam Special
« on: Thursday,May 01, 2025, 06:11:05 PM »
Picked up this gem yesterday.  A '73 Twin Cam Special with 60k+ miles on the clock.  Pretty much completely disassembled.  Body is in tough shape.  Boxes and boxes of new parts.  New/unused engine.  New head.  Have yet to sort through everything.

Congrats, (I think)  ;D
May I inquire as to how much you paid? Curious as I have written about a sad, sad basket case that we went to look at and walked away from due to the owners asking price.

Congrats. An exercise in intestinal fortitude building. Your enablers are standing by. Cheers. :beerchug:
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

The PO had this thing sitting in is garage for years and eventually tired of walking around it.  He offered to give it to me.
I gave him something just so I wouldn't feel guilty about it.
Looking high & low for a shop manual.  I had a pdf saved at one time but can no longer find it.
Lifting the body off another TCS and the steering system is problematic for us.

Here is the best source of Europa information (including shop and parts manuals that are searchable), mods, and more (http://lotus-europa.com/manuals/).

Good luck!

Thanks for the link, BDA.
Whether this Europa proves to be good luck or bad luck remains to be seen.  It could easily go either way.
I expect I'll give the body away.  Anyone interested?

I've got a spare TC manual if you're interested, send me a PM.
