Good question. It gets complicated. As far as I understand it, the Lotus 352 uses a 3.5x final drive while the Renault 352 uses a 3.7x final drive. So, Renault sourced boxes would be good for parts such as gears, shift forks, shift hubs, etc, but not as a complete replacement. They are also pretty robust boxes. Things can go wrong but they don't often do so. If you have the space, squirrelling one away might be prudent but I find most carefully saved spares are just tossed at a later date. YMMV
