Steering Wheel
« on: Monday,August 23, 2021, 07:21:29 AM »
My car is missing it’s steering wheel and I’m looking at what Moto-Lita has.

Does anyone know, or have they used a Moto-Lita Mk4 with a B20 boss on a Special? Or? The Moto-Lita site only lists these for “Lotus Europa to 1973,” which seems a little strange.

Thanks!

Just in case you're interested, the original Springall steering wheel is still manufactured https://jacobengineering.co.uk/index.php/steering-wheels-2/
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Didn't the last Europas have the horn button on the turn signal stalk?  If so, that it'll be why.

Yes, I believe that started with the Specials. They used a a modified version of the Spitfire stalks.

Lol she’s way more understanding about this hobby than is reasonable.  :)

Anyway, yes, I have the stalk controls. Need to spend a few minutes figuring out how it all fits together. The splines didn’t change for the specials i.e. the same boss will physically fit the column on all Europas, right?

Only the US Specials used a horn push on the stalk. The rest of the world stuck with the original setup.
