Last night my says to me “It would great to take a road trip in the Lotus for our 40th anniversary next year.”
She said I should spend more time in the garage to get it done 8)

Can I finish in 15 months ?

Just tore into the Twin Cam this week, chassis repairs and suspension is basically all redone…

Wish me luck!
The more I do the more I find I need to do....remember your ABC’s …anything but chinesium!

It's doable, just put a lot of local miles on it for a shake down. You've done the mechanicals so breakdowns shouldn't be a problem as long as you're prepared. I did a road trip from Dana Point , Ca to Missoula, Montana about 35 years ago in my TCS. I don't know if I would've made it since I had road incident up near Monterey, NorCal on my first day. I crashed the Europa trying to make it to Monterey for the night from fatigue.

It seems that you’re making good progress so as long as your parts are delivered in a timely manner and you stay focused you should be on time. The turbo part might involve some time consuming development so  don’t get complacent if you think you might be ahead of schedule.

Good luck!
