Radiator Leak

I have just noticed a slight leak on my radiator,  there is plenty for sale on e-bay from China and the Czech Republic. Some are complete with a fan and some are thicker  for better cooling i imagine. I am going to get one complete with fan. Do I need a wide model or standard, which one matches the original. Can anyone recommend who to buy from I am in the UK,  Thank Stuart...

I have a chinesium radiator from eBay years ago (at least I think they were all Chinese at the time). It has standard dimensions and works great. The right headlight bucket is pretty close so I’m happy it’s not thicker than the stock radiator. Unfortunately there is no way I could advise you about who to buy it from. I might be a bit more comfortable buying a Czech product than a Chinese one but there’s no way I could compare the quality.

I bought Chinese from eBay.

The hard part is getting a threaded otter switch to fit in the hole.

I bought one from Cambodia 2 years ago. No problems, but had to buy a different otter switch.

Save yourself a good deal of hassle by trying to make an aftermarket radiator work. Take your leaky original to a radiator shop and have it rebuilt. There was a time when that was common practice.

My quote to repair my original radiator was twice the cost of a Chinese radiator. The cost of the replacement radiator core alone was far more.

Radiator shops at least in my area are starting to become a bit scarce, like chrome shops. I had my stock radiator recored a couple of years ago, cost was around $400. It may be cheaper in other areas of the country. They also did a crappy job. For the cost of a recore you can buy two of the aluminum after market radiators.

I  bought a radiator complete with fan from the Czech Republic, cost me £136 inc delivery ,there was no duty to pay and it arrived in a week. I mounted it on soft rubber mounts and it's a perfect fit, I had the grill blasted and powder coated as it was looking a bit rough. I had to change the rad temp switch as it is 18mm thread. I got one for a Kawasaki off e-bay for £9. Everything seems good and the car is running slightly cooler  as shown on the temp gauge, The company I got it from was CHR Racing on e=bay....
