'72 TC in CA Says It Starts - Missing Parts/Will Need Lots of Work

Was once red, now sort of blue. 30 year owner. Stromberg head, 4-speed, very rough all over including interior, fair amount of rust, busted windshield but other glass OK, aftermarket wheels. Says it starts and idles. Posted bogus VIN. Opened at $2800, now $3550. Perhaps an OK parts car at current auction price IF it has key stuff you really need - assuming engine really does run. Otherwise, a huge money pit to restore.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/374542359358

It sold for over $6K, which was a bit surprising given that it needs everything. Inflation?
