After what seems like many years of refurbishing/rebuilding/locating and purchasing individual components for this restoration I am finally in a position to start bolting items back onto the chassis. (Note: this is obviously a body off restoration)
I have not as yet look closely at the external gear lever linkage, (365 Transaxle), this is one of the last items on the "possibly problematic to do" list and my question is:-
"With the engine/transaxle and water coolant pipes in position and the rear suspension/driveshafts not yet installed, can I easily insert the gear lever linkage through the chassis backbone - or does this HAVE to be installed beforehand?"
My reason for asking is that I just want to see the power train back in the chassis (for the first time in some 20 years....) to sort of cheer myself up.....
