They are exclusively Lotus parts. I think I'm correct in saying the A-arms changed between the Type 54 and the Type 65.

However, the geometry is common across all models though to install the later arms, you'd need some spacers due to the top trailing arm being located aft of the T section.
And I seem to recall the S1 having some peculiarity concerning that aft mount point.

Still working on removing the body.
Got the steering column loose today.
Found this voltage regulator, turn signal control?
No wiring at all hooked up to it, and a very awkward location above the steering column.
I have a feeling I just found another chore.

I'm pretty sure that the A-arms are not copied from Spitfires or any other car. Also, they changed during the S1 and S2. arms are different from the TC and TCS. SJ Sportscars sells them (https://www.sjsportscars.com).

I did a little looking around at Vintage Air (again) and saw where they don't recommend electric compressors. Maybe because they don't have one to sell or maybe because they really aren't a good option. Here's what they say about it (https://vintageair.com/tech-topic-is-an-electric-compressor-a-good-option-for-my-hot-rod).

Seems that several Europa owners have gone the a/c route. Electric compressor seems possible if you can fit a 150A plus alternator and a larger battery. Don't know how efficiency compares between belt driven compressor system vs electric.

Well sure enough my upper and lower A-arms are thrashed to beat the band.  Did our Hethel mates modify the Triumph arms in any way?  That is to question, can I buy the Triumph arms from any of the usual British car parts outlets or do I need to pay top dollar to our trusted Europa sources for replacements?  Are they still made in England or are they all coming from the East?

Found it!
If you search for "365 Transaxle Leak" from June of 2024, you can see the process I went through.  Hope this helps.

I did this about a year ago and it was considerably harder than I imagined.  Very important to consult the shop manual before you start disassembly and Kendo is correct that a particular gear must be selected before you take the cover off, but I don't remember which one.  It is explained in the manual.

I was able to get the cover off without removing the transaxle from the car by loosening all the motor mounts and raising the body enough to get adequate clearance for removing the cover.  I had a post with pictures here somewhere but have not been able to find it.

Once you get to the o ring, I had trouble finding specifications and ended up going through a process of elimination until finding the one that fit the best.  That ended up being an "Oil-Resistant Buna-N O-Ring, 2 mm wide, 9.5 mm ID"  that I bought from McMaster-Carr here in the US.  I could not find one locally.  Their part number is 9262K671.  Unfortunately, they only came in packages of 100, but surprisingly only coast about 10 US dollars delivered.   If you send me the cost of postage, I will be happy to send you a couple out of my stockpile.  Send me a PM if you choose this route.

Getting the cover back on proved to be difficult as three small keys did not want to stay in place while the cover went back on.  My solution was to wrap them with a very thin rubber band to hold them in  place.  Once gears started moving the rubber band would be ground up into very small fragments that would not be harmful.  Someone else may have a better idea to accomplish this task and I would be eager to hear about it.

Should I find my post in the meantime I will post it.

Good luck!

New upper spacers fabricobbled from 2mm wall 12mm steel tubing and doubled up stainless washers that I edge welded together. Just painted the carbon steel part so I hope to try them tomorrow.
