Not sure what you mean by a steering rack stand. Are you referring to what the parts manual calls the rack and pinion mounting bracket?

Yes that is what I am after. Would like an original. Thanks

Check out the reproductions on rdent.com - they look a lot like the originals except that one side has a larger base. I suppose they are only sold as a pair. No price is quoted on the website. I don't recall ever seeing originals being offered for sale. Mine were a pig to remove and I was glad to separate them with just one minor scrape mark.

I had a similar problem, destroyed one mounting, but found where I could buy a replacement.

I removed my rack stands off my S1 that had been stored outside as a hulk. I cut off the bolt heads and carefully used serious heat (oxy-actetylene). You have to be careful as it is easy to melt aluminium. The nuts are not captive which makes it easy to drive the remaining bolt shank into the chassis. You can then clean out the bores with a drill. Pros learn to use heat more often and sooner in the disassembly process.

Did you do that with the body off, or still attached?
Those 4 x 7/16" bolts are not to easy to get to.

Mine is an S1, so, yes, body literally attached. I did remove the chassis and replace it but you have to remove everything off the chassis before you can cut it out.

Like quite a few things on my car one of mine was a bugger to get the bolt out of!
Involved heat, penetrating oil, grinder, drill and hack saw :-\
