Title: Part Source List
Post by: sbrazil on Tuesday,March 16, 2021, 01:32:45 PM
Has anyone ever compiled a list of parts off other cars used by Lotus?  I know the steering rack and steering column came from a Triumph Spitfire and they used as many off-the-shelf parts as they could.  My car was pretty stripped and I'm keeping an eye out for everything I'm going to need.

I would go further and suggest you book mark this page: http://lotus-europa.com/manuals/

There is A LOT of good information there!

It's kind of funny, but finding parts for pedestrian vehicles from the 60s is actually quite difficult now.  Now the speciallized, Europa-only parts are easier to find.  Back in the day, it was the reverse.  Fortunately there was a good deal of cross pollination from period British sports cars and they are ridiculously well-supported now -- trust me, they weren't back in the day.
