Hello
Can anyone post pictures of an original S2 engine in bay? I. Like to see how it looks. Mine is not all original.
Thanks
-
Bobbie, not the original finish but this is the structure. Less the firewall.
Now can we see yours?

This is before it ran. The orange paint on the rocker cover fell off >:D

It's empty! 😊 I meant with an engine 😁
-
Lol ...I’m working on it as fast as I can.
There are plenty of pictures on Pinterest I have Chevy orange in my Elky 👍👍
What model crossflow is in there?

It is a tuned Renault 807.

Dakazman your engine bay looks phenomenal! I have been thinking about smoothing mine...The decision has been made....

These are pictures of 1098R with I believe a Weber 32/36, everything else should be mostly original.

This is all I’ve found .
Bobbie, Your 807 is the look That will closely resemble my 843 build. Right now just the federal wedge engine for now.
Duke, Thanks. Imitation is the best flattery. 😁

A few images of my engine bay before I painted it. I believe it's stock except for the Webber carburetor and my battery fill switch.

I checked a number of reference books and I'm not sure the level holding the cover open should be blue-grey. I think it should be more of a grey-blue...

I was wondering about that too but I thought the correct implement was a broom handle! But then, I don't have an S2. :)

This is the special limited edition cover support, only an option with yellow Europa's. Very rare, one of ten I believe although they are available aftermarket at Canadian Tire..
We wouldn't want our beloved Europa's parked at an angle, would we?

Here's another aftermarket cover support.

This is likely as original as you'll get here. The braided stainless fuel line was originally rubber? and there was no in-line fuel filter. There is a non-original quick-disconnect on the positive battery terminal. A sheet of fine mesh aluminum screen is missing from the firewall, where it went on the outside of the matting you can see. The hose clamps on the heater hose should be of the same type as the one on the hose to the coolant tank. There were decals on the air cleaner.
