I have a cameo appearance in my brother’s YouTube video at 7:20 on the road and 14:00 on the field at the 2019 ABFM at Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver, BC Canada. It was a great day! Just glad to have made it without hiccups or rain.

Hopefully the link works but you may need to copy and paste it in the browser... If you’re interested in British cars please subscribe to my brother’s YouTube videos. :)

:Welcome: Pekka!
The link worked fine - both of them! :)
Some very pretty cars in your video! How about some pictures and stories about your car?

Here’s a photo just before the show. Between myself and my dad we’ve had it for around 10 years. I plan on keeping it for a long time. It has been sitting in my garage for years as it wasn’t running well with the dellorto carb we got it with but last week switch it over to an old Weber we had on the shelf and it is running really well now. Fingers crossed...

At the Swartz Bay ferry terminal heading over to Vancouver for the show...
-
Two Europa cousins waiting for the ferry!
-
There we’re 5 at the show. 1 S1, 2 S2 and 2 twin cams. A decent spread...
-
S1s and S2s make TC/S look fat!

Here’s a couple more pics from the show... I must like the rears.... :))

Nice! It must have been a great event!

Hello Angie,
thanks for posting the videos!

Angie,
Nice to meet you at the show, it was neat to see all the different iterations of Europa at the show. I didn't know at the time, but I was right behind your brother on the way in. And, it was really cool to have a convoy of 3 S2s leaving.

Rod, it was really great to meet you too and all the iterations of each Europa. Your car is very nicely done. You did a great job. You and my dad go way back which is neat. I did see your car in the video behind the bugeye. It’s cool seeing them drive together. The red Europa next my car at the show followed me from the ferries but then I took it on a joy ride (I got lost :o)... but it was fun while it lasted.

Looks like I missed a great show. I spent the weekend repainting :BEER3: the hull of my ratty boat.
I'll have my S2 there next year for the party.

The more the merrier. I bet if we had six at the show we’d set some sort of record.
-
Sometimes we don't get much more than six Europas at a LOG!
-
The ABFM was a great day! So many nice cars and a really nice representation of Europas. Pekka your car is a fantastic survivor! I love seeing cars that are not restored participating.

Especially 6 running Europas!

thanks Rosco I was just so happy to make the show. Shiny or not it is such a fun driving car. The most I’ve seen at a British show is 2 or 3 at a Vancouver Island event however I don’t recall seeing them as a child or young adult at the shows. Maybe more have come out of hiding...

Here’s when we first got it and then the day before the show. I did the best I could with the old paint.
-
I think you did pretty well considering your starting point! :beerchug:

Thanks! :)
