Title: Window Motors
Post by: 1973JPS on Saturday,October 06, 2018, 02:29:48 AM
Hi Guys .... Maybe a really simple one but how do I correctly test my window motors on the bench....I have stripped out the doors and its been about 35 years since these have worked....can I just connect the terminals to a battery or is there relays etc that need it be in place?

Thanks in advance

Richard

Just connect the case to negative, and then positive to one of the two spade terminals. One is up, and the other is down.

I would use a 10 amp fused supply.

All of mine have worked after many years of no use.

Thank you 4129R for the reply.... Just tested both of them and they are working perfectly, although the passenger side is a lot slower.

Regards

Use the motor a few times, and it should speed up.
