 :)

A good find Joe, that picture sums up the 60s over here perfectly.

Trivia time;  I seem to recall reading that when Linda Thorson was hired for the Avengers role she was only 20 and didn't have a UK driving licence so they had to get someone else to do the driving sequences ?  They used that Europa quite a lot though, her episodes were 68/69-ish, just about the time Lotus started selling it in the UK so it made great publicity.

(yes, sadly I'm one of those aging "Avengers" fans)

B,

I also am a Avengers fan.  I had to go to Wikipedia  to find that there were three women cast in the show over the years.  So, that is Thorson on the yellow car?

Over at Elan.net the lads bring up the Avengers quite often, which is mighty fine with me.  The story lines bizzare, the women cute and Steed with class............what else could you ask for?  Sure is better than the junk they serve up today.

Another hero of mine is Onslow (Geoffrey Hughes) with the Hillman Avenger sitting in the front yard.

Joe, thanks for pix.  Keep em' comin'

Mike

She's the lass sitting on the red Europa posted by Chris and had the problem of following Emma Peel with her Elan, so a tough call.

I've got to admit I was a big fan of the Steed/Emma series in the 60s but lost interest after that because the stories just got, well, strange ? Then along came Joanna Lumley in "The New Avengers" and I didn't even care about the story lines.....   ;)
