Could someone please tell me if the bolts holding the two dashboard angle brackets to the chassis have nuts welded to the inside of the chassis or if you loosen the bolts, you have to get a wrench on the nuts inside the chassis tunnel?
I want to use those bolts for a chassis ground, but I don't want to loosen them and have a big problem tightening them back up.
Thanks.

Seems like a threaded insert welded in frame. I'll look when I go to the shop in the morning and reply.

Thanks

The bolts are 3/8"-24 and screw into threaded bobbins in the fiberglass body - believe they are 3/4" long. You may have to loosen the other body to frame bolts to get the dash brackets bolt holes to line up.

Perfect! Thanks. That's my chassis ground.

yes. think that is the perfect place. at least that is where most grounds terminated on my car.

My tcs used the bracket as a ground but I don't like torquing the ground nut against the plywood dash, so I wanted to use the bolt into the chassis so I can torque it tightly. i am using this point to run a ground to the front for the lights, fans and horn instead of using the closing plate as a ground, which I have found to be unreliable.

I used a length of angle iron. Drilled hole for dash bolt, 2-4 holes to use for grounding wires. Made it a bit easier to access
