Title: Lug nut / stud size

Need to clean the lug nut threads and stud threads. What size are they for tap and die.  Thanks. Tom

Almost forgot. The car is a very early 68 S2. Has the S1 type front suspension.

I think they are all 3/8 - 24.

No not 3/8x24. Tried those with new spitfire lug nuts.  It's 3/8 by something. Messed up the first few threads of on stud and need to clean it up before I ruin it

The stock size is 3/8 UNF which is 3/8 x 24 tpi.  You may have something else installed on yours.

Yes your right. Thanks guys. Seems the one lug I picked up wasn't cleaned out after I took the hub in to get bead blasted and painted.  They painted the lug nuts also and missed one with the tap. Now the front suspension is done, wheels can be mounted and the car can be let down off the lift. First big accomplishment !!!!!!!!!!
