I met this car and its owner at a British Car Day in Boston a few years back. Nice older fella, probably losing momentum on the rebuild. At the time, the car was mechanically solid. “Almost ready for paint” may be a bit of a stretch, and what’s up with that dashboard? Still, a good resto candidate, especially if you can talk him down a bit on the price.

I've seen worse for more $.  9K+ is probably a stretch, I'd be more interested in it at 7-7500.

I don't need another Europa, but this one is growing on me as a project. And I think what he did with the dash to get it drivable is actually pretty creative. Now I want a starter button, volt meter and fuel ratio gauge on my car. Oh - and don't forget the digital "clock" on the left! But, alas, no ashtray  :'(

It has the optional light-weight interior.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
