Well, it took me some time convincing little brother to join. I am proud to welcome member # 1177 to our group. Let's see what he has to say for his very first post.

That looks very nice!   :beerchug:

A project I might do is move my voltmeter to where my water temp gauge so I could mount a smaller wheel so I can use a fatter smaller diameter steering wheel. I've kept the stock wheel because it affords me a view of my water temp gauge (mounted closest to my speedo) that I don't want to loose.

Whether you believe in the farmers almanac or Phil the groundhog...

It has snowed here nine of the past twelve days, seems the weather in Italy has proven to be a little more friendly.

Meanwhile...back to reality

Nice photo. Looks like a lovely mid-spring day. Still quite a way from that here, yet.

Really digging that red steering wheel, too. Very nice.

Lou ,I love the minions (err.. Granddaughters) and have collected a slew of pictures of them on Pinterest.

Bainford , Last weekend was fall, because i cut and sucked up some leaves, followed by 2 days of winter , I was in a coat. today is 83 and the leaves are on the maple and elm trees. Spring is here because my wife is sneezing.

Lotus Cup Italia was at Misano Adriatico this past weekend...hot weather and close racing was on the program. A couple of late model friends stopped to visit, for this home town group photo.

Nice photo, and nice looking day. I envy those who live in places where one can indulge in a steady diet of motorsport.

It's always the simple things...

Working on cars has always had it's pitfalls, sometimes we over think what's wrong and go down the rabbit hole. I mention this after hearing from Vic today, seems he's been chasing an elusive issue with an above normal water temp reading. There was no pattern to the erratic gauge operation, a complete coolant system check and wiring revealed little at fault.

The issue remained as to why the gauge was always reading higher than normal.

So, after checking all the basics, it turned out to be "Teflon"...you know, the Gotti factor.

That wonderful plumbers invention on the threads of the sender was preventing the true resistance reading.

Lesson learned...the "Kiss" factor reared it's head once again.

Interesting! So what method of sealing the threads did he use to fix the problem?

Very interesting, Lou. Thanks for posting. That one's worth filing away. So often it is the simplest things.
