There is a Santa
« on: Wednesday,December 27, 2023, 11:51:20 AM »
😁 After 20 weeks of watching the news with the slow down at the Panama Canal due to lack of water and the port of Los Angeles backed up and people breaking into containers and throwing items they couldn’t use aside.
I was shocked to see my package arrive from Australia today.
Even with a tracking number they do not track outside of Australia 🤷‍♂️
I was a little assured because the sender is a member of this site and a previous order that was lighter and was received in a week.
 Thanks Santa

Well done, Dave.
20 weeks is a long time but you gotta remember it's all up hill to your place from here.

"....slow down at the Panama Canal due to lack of water".
But, but, but!
How can this be when we are about to see all our coastal cities drown due to rising sea levels per Al Gore and his followers?
I do not watch the news so had not heard of this and see it as a bit bizarre.

Richard, watching the world news and weather channel is a habit from working for a major airline.
CNN is pumped in 24/7 , we are an Atlanta hub … weather delays and cancellations are monitored also.
I know it’s a bad habit but it’s a side effect of 43 years at airports.

It’s hard to tune out headlines like this when you have a package due.  :)

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE EXTRAS'  :trophy:      I just opened it.

Never thought of a lock system that connects to the sea at both ends as fresh water dependent.
Seems some reengineering may be in order.

  Ya THINK.
Other members have also voiced their concern about sums of money paid out and awaiting delivery.
I hope all receive their items.
Lets get these cars on the road.

Found he answer to the water shortage 😂
Ya all had to lick all these stamps😂. I think it should be re-named snail mail.
Sorry guys !  I know it’s uphill. And the polar shifts in the water flow is annoying.

Oh oh, just had another thought.
CA refuses to allow construction of desalinization plants to ease their continual water issues due to concern that the added Fresh Water Runoff would "Pollute" the sea.  ::)
Seriously.
Please do not let them know the Panama Canal uses fresh water that ends up in the sea.
They would likely ban any ship using the canal from their ports!

The Panama Canal uses fresh water! . . . learn something every day.
Now with the Houthis threatening the Suez Canal, there will likely be more shipping delays no matter where you are.

  Initial cleaning accomplished.
This will help finish two more engines.  Staying focused and putting them on the back burner.
