With the terrible weather related issues in Texas I hope that Chuck is ok. My thoughts and prayers are with all those effected by the winter weather.
-
Yes! Mine too! My sister in law’s family lives in Houston and they are without power and have been going on their second day.
-
Good friends of mine went to surprise a family member for her birthday.... they are stuck in Austin!
Not a good situation.

I got lucky. I was only down 10 hours...I am electric only so I was very dependent on the grid...
It was pretty wild...

Glad to hear you made it through the storm...
I am on day 10 out of 14 with snow fall....
looking at you pics, in Pennsylvania we call that a "dusting".
-
Oh yes it was! I don't know how you guys do it!! I called my friends in Eire and asked, "How do you snow?" The first day this started we had one of the worst massive car wrecks in our history...133 cars....
My M3 got stuck in the driveway...I couldn't even take it on the road if I'd wanted.
My boss was without power for over 48 hours straight. Some had been without for more than 72...
I was very lucky that all my pipes survived.

Snow and balled summer tires don't mix well. We the north do it every year. Water pipes are buried 4 feet under ground, home insulation is better. Those who are really prepared have wood or propane backup heating. I am glad you survived.

Thanks guys! Sandy you are right...I am going to look in to getting a propane tank and a propane generator.
-
Chuck, as soon as you get the generator there will be no need for them.z
