WTB heater box and matrix for TCS (UK)
« on: Wednesday,November 19, 2014, 11:37:02 PM »
Hi

Would anyone in the UK have a heater box and matrix they would sell me, that's the only part I'm after now I've been told S2 Landrover ones are the same but the matrix outlets are to one side not either side as on the Europa one not that would be a problem but would prefer the correct one.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Jerry

I thought they were late Triumph Spitfire.  Here's ones from either side of the pond:

Does that come apart and be reassembled into a different configuration? That doesn't look like mine. I did some searches on Moss Motors, Victoria British, and British Parts Northwest (British Leyland suppliers on this side of the pond), but couldn't find any that looked like the TC heater. Golden Gate Lotus Clubs keeps a fairly extensive parts cross reference but they don't list any for the heater core. I seriously doubt that it is a Lotus only part. You might try Richard at Banks (http://www.banks-europa.co.uk/index.php). Here is a snippet from the parts manual:

There is a source here in the States. It's called Sports Car World. More than likely they have the heater box. There web site is virtually none existent. They will be expensive, but will have the part. However I would give Richard Winter a ring first.

Here is the information:

Hi

Many thanks for all your replies the spitfire heater box is not the correct one the matrix may be the same but the outer casing is different also there's no integral fan as on the spitfire heater box. I'll give Richard a call to see if he has them.

Looks like a lightly modified Spifire Mk 1,2 or 3 heater box:

I have a heater complete taken from my TC as it's been converted to a racecar.

I also have other parts which will be advertised (yes includes an ashtray!)
