Giday from Queensland. I have bought a S2 which is a basket case, I am hoping that someone might have a DXF of an original dash, I have nothing in the car, at all so even a local discarded dash would be useful, as i would happily CAD it for all to use. Anyhow - here starts a long journey

Hello Dazza,
:Welcome:
good luck with the dashboard and with the project!

:Welcome:
Dazza67
I have an S2 facia , my crashpad was mostly a cracked mess but I made a few traced outlines of the facia. I also made up a spare facia but without a radio cutout. I made a few paper tracings for other members and sent it out to them.
I don’t have a cad program.
As for having nothing inside your car , the seat frame is drawing and material covering is posted online here. There are many interior parts but we can help.

:Welcome: dazza67!! You have some interesting cars!
There are places where you can buy a new dash but it sounds like you want to (and are capable of) making your own. I hope you’ll post pictures of it when you’re finished. For that matter, I know I speak for everybody here when I say that I hope you keep us updated (with lots of pictures! :) ) of your progress!

See if this works for you.

Welcome to the forum, dazza. Good luck with your project. Cheers :beerchug:

I asked if it was rhd or lhd because you could have a federal spec Europa in Australia.
Enjoy the forum. There is a lot of information here.

Thanks Pfreen, so true, I didnt even think of a Fed spec arriving here,
From what I have read in the forum so far it is a huge bank of knowledge. I have learned so much in the last 24 hours just reading the threads, its going to be a fun project.
Thanks to Grumblebuns I now have the file I need. At this stage I am just mocking up the bits that are missing whilst I finish other projects.

Hi dazza,
Firstly, welcome from another Queenslander.
Re the dash drawing, note that Grumblebuns link is for a Federal S2 (Type 65) which is a little different from the UK cars we mostly got here in Oz.
While flipping the drawing would likely work (?), there's a few holes for things we didn't get, too - hazard lights and brake fail, for instance.
Below is a pic of what I'd expect a Type 54 to look like.

Thanks for the pic, I will edit the cad file to suit, main thing at the moment is to brace the body when I lift it off the chassis, also to give me a place to put all the bits I do have, and a hole to remind me what I have yo find.. Where in Qld are you Gavin

I'm on the north side of Brisbane.
Feel free to send me a PM if needed.
Just to add, the dash has some features on the rear side as well. The eyeball air vents are routed/recessed in the rear and some of the switches have raised 'platforms' to establish the correct switch depth. I'll see if I can find a pic.
