Title: WLTB single DCOE manifold for R16TS head
Post by: ACW270 on Thursday,May 07, 2020, 07:47:10 AM
Does anyone have a manifold or manifold and carb for a single 40/45 DCOE onto a R16TS head?

There were/are extremely rare.  Never actually seen one myself.  Illustrations, sure, but not one in metal.

That is what I am imagining too.  I have not even seen a photo, just the drawing.  But I thought it worth asking anyway.

The one in your drawing is a poor design.  Better one illustrated here:

That said, single side-drafts on a four cylinder engine are not easy to plumb happily.  Pairing 1-2 and 3-4 is not good.  You have to have involved routing to pair cylinders ideally.  Then the involved routing limits performance potential.  Hard to beat dual side drafts.  Second in my books would be the standard manifold with a Weber downdraft.  Either 28/36 for all round economy and drivability, or a 36/36 for outright performance.
