Hello all .
I’m the proud owner of a dust covered type 65 in a friend’s garage that hasn’t seen the light of day in ten years . I’ve a house renovation to finish off then the Europa is next on the project list so I thought I’d get some enthusiasm built up by reading everything Europa .
Please be patient with me .....

:Welcome: , Nick!
We'd all love to see some pictures of your project so we can comment on what a project you have and how great it will be when you're done! :)
That sounds insincere but it isn't. You're not alone in having to wait for a house renovation. Two other members are in that same situation!
Good luck on both projects and please post pictures when you can - even if they are of your dust covered Europa!

Thanks for the welcome .
I don’t really do computers but think I’ve attached a couple of old photos before she was locked away .....

:Welcome: Your S2 looks great Nick! Should be a nice restoration project. I’m also fairly new to Europa’s and found the group on this forum to be very helpful and friendly.

Welcome Nick,
We’ll be waiting to hear more about her. Age, engine?
Looks to be in good shape.

Hi Nick,
Your project looks like a good one. Judging by the Type 65 designation and the 1970 J plate, it might be one of the UK/Federal oddities like mine. If it has the PR suffix to its unit number then that will confirm it. Good luck with the restoration.
Is that another Lotus I spy beside the garage under the tarp?
Regards,
Pete

Great and good luck with it! Another UK Europa on the road soon then :beerchug:
Welcome on board

Welcome to the forum, Nick. That looks like a nice solid project you have there.

Blimey Pete - you’ve eyes like a hawk! It is another Europa but had to go when I sold my last house , sadly I almost gave it away about five years ago :-(

Welcome Nick!!!
Now I am not the only one with a house remodel and a project europa.
-
Nope and I'm another one. Holiday flat refurb interrupted the Europa restoration here....
-
Ha! I have my moments.
Thankfully I built the house before I got the cars! Sadly the garage isn’t big enough.

Dakazman , I did get her running at about the same time as the picture was taken ten or so years ago but life , work and other stuff seems to have got in the way of doing any more ... after the house is done I can get it over here and make a proper start ...

Lol Nick ,
25 years ago I parked my lotus in my garage in a home that I built.
Yes life gets us sidetracked from our wants . I love building. I renovated 1 and built 2 new.
Flipped home 39 years ago. So prioritizing your life is very important, so are goals and dreams.
Family first, the rest will fall into place only with patience.

Mine has already had to wait 4 years....And I have a truck that has been sitting for 10 years now..... When I first got the truck an older gentleman told me about his project truck that took 10 years to complete....I thought he was crazy, or lazy, or something...ah to be young and unaware of the twists and turns of life.
