The hood scope seems silly.  I wonder if the radiator is now located behind the scoop?  I personally don't like the wheel flares but whatever.....  Too bad there is not a single picture of the Toyota engine. It could be a fun ride when finished.

Check out those sexy 70s fender flares. And dig that engine cover handle.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

I know Lotus was somewhat vague with regards to model years but I though 1972 was a Twin Cam year. He says it has a TC in it (no picture of course) but he calls it an S2 and it clearly has the sails on it.

Also the front air dam doesn't appear to be straight...

Not surprisingly, I don't see any takers at $10K+.

Then it's not a 1972.

He gives the vin as 0901. That would put it around 1968 I think.

Oh, wait a bit. Its a Federal 0901R. That puts it about 1971. My car is a 72 but was first titled in 73. I'll bet that's where the confusion lies. It was probably titled in 72.

There are now pictures of the Toyota engine!

My car was built in '73, sold late in '73, and registered (in January?) as a '74 when new in California.  It is now registered as a '73 in Utah.

Yeah, '74 Europas are '73 Europas and vice versa.  ;D

Now that the engine is shown, his $10K price tag makes a bit more sense (other goofy things, notwithstanding).

Now relisted at a slightly lower start bid

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Other-2-door-/111322320094?vxp=mtr

I know our markets are differently priced (US/UK) but even with a more enthusiastic UK market I think this would struggle.

This car comes down to one guy's dream of a customized car and having had that T shirt in my youth I know selling them on is difficult because you're after a buyer with exactly your tastes. If that isn't hard enough, this is advertised as not running and in need of electrical, mechanical and interior work, so it's a big ask to take over such a project.
