Along these same continuation lines, wasn't there something a couple years back regarding some "found" original chassis or nameplates to continue the Shelby Cobra?
I remember back when Carroll Shelby was still alive, there was a warehouse full of Cobra parts of the same vintage as the original Cobras. I’m thinking that was maybe late ‘70s or early ‘80s. As I remember, the cars went for $100,000.

I have a memory that is more vague that there was a more “conventional” continuation run made with more up to date parts but that’s put guess.

I understand that the car was built from new / original parts but was this '47' made from an S1 or was it a totally 'new' build and treated as a new vehicle?

The car is simply stunning, absolute perfection!  8)
