I hate to say it, but I wote for Red Bull.
It's the one with the least ugly nose...  :o

In terms of the power-unit the Mercedes and Ferrari powered teams seem to have the advantage now. The Renault powered cars had many problems. Because of that for example Red Bull did manage only 21 laps in the four days of testing in Jerez, while Ferrari and Mercedes did 80-100 laps per day.

But I have no idea, which aerodynamic package will do the best job. I really think that Lotus' nose could be a brilliant piece of designing. They are the only team, who had this idea to cope with the new regulations and I think it may work. What worries me is that they revealed it, although they knew they did not go to the testing at Jerez. Why would they show their solution and blow their whistle so early and unnecessarily? Maybe to bind some work-force of the other teams, which maybe would try out, if this solution works...? But I hope this is not just a bluff and gives them an advantage. But I also hope that the Mercedes powered Force India team has a good car and my favourite driver Nico Hülkenberg can score well in the 2014 season.

We will see...

I continues to amaze me just how sophisticated the areo management is on these machines. There are some interesting nose designs there, especially on the Cosworth.

The engine suppliers for 2014 are Renault, Mercedes and Ferrari. Cosworth opted to not make the V6 engine. But Honda is returning next year.

Looks like Caterham just gave up and cut the front off and stuck a round tube on the front. But I'm sure there is some science behind the design.

Yep caterham wins the prize for the ugliest nose.  But the real prize must go to the one who thought up the regulations. Quite rightly it's driven by the need for safety. What next ..overriders?

Ok. I'm probably showing my age but for me, the last truly beautiful F1 car was Black Beauty (Lotus 79). Another favorite was the Gurney Eagle. When they really started to look ugly when they went with the high nose. IMHO, they are all ugly now - some less ugly than others. At least they finally got the rules so there would be some passing other than in the pits. Presumably that will continue.
