What's this??

(1/1)

This pipe is in my chassis. It's been there for over 10 years, but I don't remember what it was connected to. Any ideas? :)

gideon:
An alternative plumbing arrangement for the heater, maybe?   Perhaps one of the original heater pipes sprang a leak and it was easier to fit a replacement pipe from the front and connect it to the coolant hoses there.  Where does the other end go?

4129R:
That appears to be on the right side of the car, just above the steering rack.

What diameter is the tube?

It looks too big to be a brake fluid pipe, so it must be something to do with the cooling system, and seems to be the same size as the heater pipes connected to the chassis. It is not original on TCs, so you need to find out where the other end is, around the passenger footwell.

Vacuum feed for the single booster that was an option for the ROW S2s?  IIRC, that booster was mounted up front.  I'd check in the engine room for the other end, you may find it that's what it was for...just spitballing.

Might be a good way to get a heavy gauge cable to the front if you're thinking of upgrading your headlights and putting them on relays...just sayin'.

jbcollier:
Bryan is spot on.
