 Thanks guys,

So far so good...a slight issue with my fuel pressure regulator weeping. Will swap it out tonight, they predict record temps pushing 70 for tomorrow! Is this December or what!

Glad to see you've installed a fire suppression system.  It's a good idea in a Europa.

They make intake trumpets for Strombergs now.  That and an actual airbox/filter would be another good idea.  The stock set-up is actually pretty good.

Stuart, Got it from Ray at R&D...It's the mild steel header which I had coated by Jet Hot in the satin finish. It will never rust or discolor and I recommend their services. Some minor grinding was needed at # 4 flange port. Otherwise the fit was perfect.

Here is a old shot taken 3 years ago...cheers , ld

That is a beautiful Europa, Lou. Very tidy all 'round. Nice work.

I see you have omitted the windscreen wipers, undoubtedly for the addition of lightness and aerodynamic efficiency  ;)
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Good company on Sunday in Salt Lake City. I wish I were skiing but winter seems to have ended the second week of February..... So I've been driving.

Saturday I meet with a local reporter who is writing for a series called Utah's Coolest Cars. I think he liked my little car, but of course if he didn't, he wouldn't have told me straight up. Guess I'll find out when the article comes out later this week. On the plus side, the guy had no issues getting in or out, and my car is running great!

:coolpic: Now that sounds like a cool deal. A little local appreciation is always good. The car is looking great, and without having been to Utah I can still say for sure that yours is one of the coolest cars in the state.

Les the Lotus does dirt

This was sent to me by a photographic student that titled the image 'Rally Driving'.
Not sure she quite understands ;-)

659R is getting closer to completion. The body's on but it still needs electrical, lights, under spoiler, ground effects, windshield, interior, all the missing motor bits put back on and a stripe.  Still a long list, but much of it are day jobs... Maybe by July...
