I've been searching boards the last few days for seats and came across Intatrim in the UK. They have a few seats that might work but their Lunar seat looks just like a Europa seat. They also have a basket weave that looks like the S2 pattern. They say 582 pounds with vat so it should be around $630 ish a pair US. I sent an email asking about weight and the basket weave. It's not on their web page yet but is on FB

If you're looking for seats that are "Europa-like", you might want to check out lotus-supplies.com. They have several seats that look nice. I've seen pictures of some pretty racy seats in a Europa. Since I wasn't interested in them, I didn't pay attention to where they came from. Some of the intatrim seats looked very nice. I think the angle of back might be something to watch if you need leg room. I think I'd want a head rest. I wouldn't want to need one and hit my head on the rear window!
Just a few thoughts...

I was looking on lotus-supplies.com and only found factory seat trimmings. I did see door panels. I wonder if they have the have the backing.
They have an option for a head rest too. From my in car measurement it looks to only be 2.25" lower. No head rest on the Lunar should still be high enough. With a helmet on, the factory S2 headrest is way too thick and pushes your head forward. I'll shave it if I recover.

The 600mm back height of the speedway motors seats seemed short but I could be wrong. I do like the grommets in the seat but the reviews don't look good. The Intatrim seats look like their headrests would not push your head forward.

Here's one of the Intatrim seats in a Europa . . looks like an S2
I think this is the 'GT40' model.
Don't know if it was a special request but the rake seems to be OK.

That seat looks great and if you didn't know what the originals were like you'd never know it was a modern replacement. Their prices seem very good value for something that's essentially custom made for you. Bookmarked !

Their GT40 was the one I found on gt40s.com. That looks perfect in a Europa. Price for shipping is 271 pounds.I'm waiting to hear back on weight.
This is the GT40 from their FB page

Where did you find the Europa pic? I looked everywhere for pics and never saw that one.

Hi Clifton,
That Intatrim seat pic was 'stolen' from the "Lotus Europa" Facebook group.
Steve Kent is the member who has them installed. I hope he doesn't mind my saying so.
Cheers,
Gavin

Thanks Gavin. I found Steve and his post and asked him a few questions.
Rob at Intatrim said "Weight wise they’re 3.5kg fully upholstered so very light."

Is that right, Clifton? . . 3.5 kilos?
What are the construction materials?

They are fiberglass shells. I have Intatrim seats in a couple of my projects and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Great looking seats, and a nice, thin seat back to maximise space in the Europa cabin. I like what I see.
Does anyone know what the stock Twin Cam seat weighs?
