There is a nice 1967 S1A for sale on eBay. It appears to be largely original and is equipped with a Hermes kit. VIN is 460370.

Very nice! :D

It is owned by a Lotus (and Vintage Brit car) repairman in South Florida. He actually has two Europa S1s. He has owned and driven the other one (not for sale) for over 40 years and his knowledge of Loti is quite extensive. He has worked on my Europa and I have seen this car many times. The car he is selling is immaculate.

That really is a nice one. Not many S1 around in that condition and the price seems to be justified.
Good idea to offer it for sale on Ebay UK as there seems to be more demand for such early Europas in the UK than in the US.

That's interesting information. The other S1 can be seen in the background parked in the garage in one of the pictures.
Looks like a Carnival Red S1A.

The car was sold to a Lotus collector in the UK in a private sale for the asking price.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. It seems to be that the UK Lotus collectors finally discovered the early Europas as collectable cars.
