Title: MYSTERY GEAR LINK PLASTIC BUSH
Post by: Lotus 47 on Wednesday,October 19, 2016, 02:36:21 PM
I just purchased some original S1 gear shift parts from a fellow lister. They are pretty much pristine.

The parts incorporate a plastic bush or bearing. It is quite distinctive, and I cannot see Lotus tooling up this part. So where does it come from? The whole set-up is quite quirky. I'd like to find a new replacement part 46F6159 - see picture

I know there are heaps of liner bearing out there, but I am on a mission to return my S1 to its original design intent.

I photographed the bush last night. This one would probably work OK but it does appear to have a large segment missing. No visible part numbers or ID markings.

I'm keen to find a new original part.

Have you tried Banks?  Failing that, should be fairly straight forward to make up a bronze bushing that would do the trick.
