Mountune Oil Pan Baffle

(1/3) > >>

cazman:
I have decided to use the Mountune Oil Pan Baffle, as opposed to the home made style. https://www.mountuneusa.com/Ford-Kent-Lotus-Twin-Cam-Oil-Pan-Baffle-Lip-Seal-p/1010-oc-aa.htm

There was more fab that I wanted to do on the home mades and Mountune seems to have figured out a proven solution. Not too bad of an install. I think the hardest part was eliminating the original baffles. I'll report back on how it works on the track.

Richard48Y:
Is there a crank-scraper in your plan?

cazman:
No, I have not even seen any for the Twin Cam. This is not a high HP motor, so I do not know if I would see anything from it. But, now would be the time to do it!

Clifton:
Baffles and flap/trap doors are but but extra oil makes it even better. On track cars, I've always run at least an extra 1/2 quart above the full mark on the dipstick. I know it's not a Renault engine but this guys logged pressure in turns, he autocrosses. https://wilhelmraceworks.com/2gr-oil-pressure

cazman:
Richard48Y - Ivey Engines does sell a crack scraper and they say that they put them on their street engines also. I might try it, as it can only help.
