Stromberg float bowl plug question
« on: Saturday,September 23, 2023, 06:22:37 AM »
I am not real wild about the plastic and o-ring float bowl plug on the CD-175 …. I am thinking of using a brass freeze plug …. Has anyone done something similar?
The more I do the more I find I need to do....

Still with the o-ring? If not, I have found it useful to be able to quickly pull the drain to get the old gas out. A freeze plug like in a block would be hard to pull by hand.

Yes, fresh o-ring and they are good.  Later TR7s have float bowels without the plugs if you’re concerned.
