Are the wiper arms Lotus specific or from another make like a lot Lotus parts? Specifically the passenger/straight arm.

I didn't find the wiper arms in any cross references (for future reference, there is one here: http://lotus-europa.com/manuals/lotuswest/74MC083.html and here: http://www.gglotus.org/ggpart/europacr.htm). They are pretty generic 16" wipers. You'll probably want air deflectors on whatever you get in case you are caught on the highway in the rain.

I appreciate the cross reference links. I'll never be in the rain, I'm in Az ;D. I just want to put something on the passenger side for looks and not having the bare post sticking up.

I did see that Richard had wiper arms for sale. It seems he only sells straight ones. I would bet that r.d. sells them and then there's the other Brit suppliers like Moss. Do you need the length of the arms?

Tex Automotive probably have a suitable replacement

http://texautomotive.com/classic_wiper_arms.html

It is possible that they are the original manufacturer.

Another vote for Tex arms, at some point I'll replace my Europa single arm with a Tex one, they are good quality items.

I fitted their "wedge lock" arms to the Elan because the wiper spindles were starting to look a bit worn and they made a marked improvement. Worth considering if the grooves are worn and the normal arms have a slight touch of play once fitted.  But once you've fitted wedge lock, the action of locking them in place does mark the spindle so it's a one-way street.

You can bend or straighten the arms if you do it carefully.

When converting to RHD, I have bent the one bent arm the other way.

I must have the only two wiper RHD cars around.

Does anyone know the source for the 16" wiper arms on the Federal spec cars?

Triumph Spitfire ones are too short.

Are they from an MGB or some other production car of that era?

Any of the British parts suppliers carry wiper arms that can be bent either way.  Some even have adjustable length.

Unless I can tell them what UK car it is from, they won't even start looking.

It is not an Anglia/Cortina/Capri.

I found a pair of brand new, old stock, chrome arms for £20 locally.

Their reference is BMK 2478.

Apparently they fit old Land Rovers and other old Rovers.

Next classic car show, I shall have to take a tape measure and see what else they fit.

They are cranked for RHD, but easily bent for straight or LHD, driver's side.

I found 1 only satin black wiper arm, 16" long, cranked for RHD, brand new old stock, Land Rover part, reference BMK 2478, for £10 plus postage.

I just need 1 more black one to complete those missing.

The search on eBay continues.
