How to install new bushings on a TCS sway bar
« on: Thursday,July 07, 2022, 07:50:15 AM »
Anyone got any suggestions on how to install new bushings on a TCS sway bar. I have gone to three different garages (all very knowledgeable) and they can't seem to be able to get it slipped on...they almost get it and then it slips off...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you are talking about the rubbers at the ends, and not on the drop links, I use a ratchet strap wrapped around the ends to wind the ends towards each other.

I did my 7th yesterday.

Here are several threads from the 'other' Europa group, from this past spring.  You can spend a couple of hours, if you look at all the messages.

Impressive!  Can you please tell us how he did it?  I assumed that something from those threads would be the answer (I have yet to do mine), but I think you have THE answer.  Would appreciate it!
