Title: 73 JPS Resto Photo Album
Post by: 1973JPS on Friday,February 21, 2020, 10:55:10 AM
So Guys it's been an eventful journey and apologies for not keeping everyone informed about the rebuild but in all honesty it's has been easier to load my photos up to Facebook Europa page than doing re-sizing and stuff which I really don't understand here.

I am going to post a link to my Google Album which I hope 1: Is allowed and 2: I hope works..... Maybe some knowledgeable chap can and will correct my ignorant ways...

I'm getting very close to being 95% of the way ...... I reserve the other 5% for all the silly things I have missed.

So here goes.....Hopefully it works and I would really appreciate any feedback positive or otherwise

That is a seriously good looking Europa. It looks like very high standard work. very impressive, and well done. Looks like you will be on the road soon.

She really is a beauty, 1973JPS! Congratulations on a very nice build! I'm still going through the pictures - very nice! My only complain is that I have to look at them in reverse order!  :)

Just make sure you post a link to a video of your initial drive!

Cracking job well done...
It's always a pleasure to see the effort and patience to detail. Reminds me of my ten year project. Sometimes the journey is just as satisfying as the final result. Looks like you've climbed the mountain and are ready to plant the flag.
Good luck, you have a classic to enjoy for many years to come. Best regards,ld.

You just saved me a whole lot of time. I was wishing I had a neighbor with same car further along so I wouldn't have to take so many pictures. Thanks for sharing you lucky dog with a 95% Europa and spring coming in Ireland

Brilliant !! Well done - it is a credit to you, not only the work you have undertaken but the effort spent in photographically recording each stage, (its so easy just to press on and forget this part.) This is a great reference collection for my build - (I didn't quite get the blue suspension components though... )

 :Welcome: yanix!!

The stripes from the factory were 3/16" gold tape. It should be available at most places that sell car paint and equipment or at a body and paint shop.  You should also be able to find it at Amazon or eBay.

Well that's her back on the road.........for 100 miles brilliant experience........slowing down to take a turn selected 2nd and wallop ........Lost all gears.....Pulled the gearbox and she broke the Rocking lever shaft.....so over to Richard at Banks and he's also found that the 1st syncro gear had lost it's pin and was loose and that is hopefully whats causing the rasping noise when in neutral....Oh the Joys of LOTUS

Disagree, that's just the Joy of 50 Year Old Vehicles.

Glad it's just a simple fix.

Hi guys.....its amazing how time flies by and you forget to update your progress. The last time I updated everyone on my restoration was almost 2 years ago but more importantly more than 6k miles of pretty much carefree and exhilarating driving. Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious has not been the case for me, yes there has been a few small niggles and annoyances but in all honesty I have had great fun with ti's fantastic driving machine.... I just love her.
Here is the link again with an extra 2 years of using a classic.

That is a lot of pictures!!! You've done yourself proud! She's stunning and so is a lot of the scenery! Thanks for all of them!

I have to wonder why you kept the 8-track tape!!!

One suggestion is to install gas struts for your boot lid. You'll never regret it!

Thank you BDA... Yes lots of photos..... She is almost completely factory original and that's why I kept the 8 track.... Mind you I did send it to England and had a Bluetooth module fitted which allows me to use my phone as a media player etc.... I have thought about the boot lift system but again this wasn't available when she was built but was on the very last years of production

Great photo trip. Your Europa is looking great, and great to see it is getting lots of use. I'm digging the 8-track, still have mine fitted, too.
