During the restoration of my TCS, I had a brain storm
When getting ready to put in the underlay and carpet I thought "what if in the future I need to replace or run a new wire into the engine bay?"
I sure as hell would not pull up all the new underlay and carpet.
I came up with the below. I run a 1/2 in conduit from the engine bay to behind the dash, parallel with the wiring loom.
So glad I did this!
Today I had to run a new wire from the coil to the tachometer, with the conduit in place this took me all of 2 mins!!!
first blew a cotton wool ball through the pipe with string attached - then - used the string to pull through the wire.
No headache - No swearing - No pulling anything apart.
Easy fix and plenty of room for future wires if needed.

Great idea! Where were you in 1999 when I was building my car?
I added a backup camera when I installed a new radio and a GPS driver for my electronic speedo (and it seems like more than that). A conduit would have been really nice!

Got to say that was a genius thought!. Now, when the time comes - if I remember....

I did this way back, when I still had my Europa, and installed a thin piece of stainless wire when I first put the tube in so it was already there when I needed to pull a wire through.

I thought the same and made up a loom of 8 different coloured wires which I ran along the tunnel from the back of the centre console to the engine bay,
