Crazy as it sounds, I've seen a similar picture for an S1 Elise, I'm slightly surprised that it's still an issue with the S2.  There's even a warning in the workshop manual about the balance when lifting the car, I forget the exact wording but it's something to the effect that a 2 post lift can end up with the car falling over. Clearly this shop hasn't read the notes.....
