That was apparently the PO’s method of dialing in some negative camber.

Personally I think Colin would be proud. I mean, an angle as a part has to be the lightest part imaginable.

Is it me...or are the rear links bent!
Definitely bent, and both look to be bent to the same angle.
It can happen if you jack the car up under the bottom links, but being the same bend each side looks to be deliberate, too much of a co-incidence.

There are shop lifts, designed for solid axle cars, that will bend Europa rear links every time.  My first shop where I apprenticed had one as did one of the the body shops my Europa went to.  I stopped by for a visit, saw the Europa on the lift, saw the now bent links, and didn’t bother to say anything.  Too late now and when were they ever going to work on another?

That likely explains why my links had a slight bend when I acquired the car. Probably happened when the PO had the tires rotated; 185's to the front, 175's to the rear. I replaced the links with adjustable ones from TLC.
