‘71 S2 for sale on BaT
« on: Friday,July 01, 2022, 05:21:21 PM »
There’s a really pretty S2 with a Gordini head and some other nice upgrades for sale on BaT! It’s almost up to $9000 with six and a half days still to go. I think this car should fetch a good price.

How can anyone buy a car like this, only put two hundred miles on it, and then flip it two years later?
Seems too many only see "Investment" and are not really enthusiast, sad.

I didn’t notice the mileage. I agree. That never made any sense to me!

Agreed 100%. Judging by the way entered the car on the video he never even quite learned how to sit in the thing. Maybe that's why it only had 200 miles?

Personally I hope it does not break $15K.  >:D
Similar spec to mine and I want to be able to DRIVE enthusiastically without having to feel I am a fool to risk too much value.

It was bid to $24,000 but the reserve was not met!

I thought BAT required a realistic reserve?
This went well into TC price range but still not enough for the seller.
Considering the "BAT Effect" I doubt he will find more elsewhere.

He paid $27,850 on BAT in May 2019, so reserve may have been determined partly based on that.

Ah, "Buy, hold, flip" does not always work. ;)
