Title: '73 Europa Shell FS (no affiliation)
Post by: cal44 on Friday,February 15, 2013, 06:50:31 AM
I have a note in to the seller.  Notice someone blanked off the running/turn lights.  There is a TC full body in Oregon on ebay as well.

Why is it that every Europa in the U.S. has lived in California at least one point in it's life?

Haha good question. Mine was bought new in New Jersey. I found the original owners manual supplement where the original owner jotted down some questions to ask the dealer on his next visit. One of the questions; Will the warranty still be valid when I move to California.

California has nearly 40 million people and a GDP approaching $2 trillion.  In these regards it is bigger than all other US states, Canada, and most countries (GDP). Much of the state has a climate that is amenable to driving and preserving British sports cars.  Most importantly the state is full of fruits and nuts... the sorts that might drive a Europa.  The latter explains why my Europa lived in So Cal for nearly 38 years and has only been owned by my father and me.   ;)

fruits and nuts.............indeed.  When I was in the Army one of my drill sergeants always yelled "they's only two things in California , hot rods and nancy boys"..............I still laugh.  Yes.....I live in California........I can't get her to live in a normal state like Arizona or Texas.
By the way, the shell is sold.  No, not me.

When I read this, I remember Full Metal Jacket. "Holy dog shit! Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy, and you don't look much like a steer to me, so that kinda narrows it down."

How many of this stereotype-jokes does a drill sergeant have? 50 would be great. One for every state ;D
