Lost ID tag
« on: Monday,November 11, 2013, 11:03:01 AM »
Hi everyone. Have just bought a Europa S1. Well at least i have paid for it but not picked it up. Its a restoration project and the Id plate seems to be missing. The chassinumber on the frame is still there so i guess i just can buy a new plate and stamp in the chassinumber but how do i find out the original paint number and engine/transnumber?

When I was doing my restoration I wrote to the factory and obtained all new ID plates already stamped. This was 10 years ago so I don't know if they will still be as helpful.

You might get lucky and your car is listed here.

Yes my car is on the list but no info about the original color.
Thanks for the tips. I will contact the factory.
