123 Bluetooth distributor
« on: Thursday,September 29, 2022, 05:11:15 AM »
How many of you are using this? I am considering it because I can change the advance curve and program for boost retard. Is it easy to use? Any reliability issues?

Thanks for comments!

Works VERY well.  You can easily configure the vacuum side to retard the ignition as boost pressure rises.  It also comes with a built in immobilizer.

I know another guy who has one in his TC and he loves it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything negative about them.

The immobilizer makes it so no can start the car when you are away from it?

Yup.  You change the factory password and then no one can start the car unless they change the distributor.

I installed one earlier this year and it has yet to give rise to any problems.  The program is very easy to use and the extra bells and whistles (immobilizer and digital gauges) help justify the price.

Do you have to key in the password each time you start the car? Or does the proximity of your cell phone unlock the distributor via Bluetooth?

You have to enter the password the first time you use a device with the distributor.  After that, it remembers.
