The TC and S2 use a trim panel to cover where the sun visors (actually just a single visor in the S1) attach above the doors. Did the S1 have them? I don’t think so but there’s a pair in my pile of bits (some other S2 stuff in there as well so that’s no indication).

I don't know how original my 67 S1 is or how many owners it's gone through but 46/0433 does not have the trim above the doors. The headliner cover the entire roof extending down to just above the door opening. I also don't see any holes where the screw heads would be on the outside of the door opening. Possibly the S1a/b are different?

Interesting. How is your visor attached? Photos?

I'll try to see if there is enough light in the corner of the garage for photos later on today.

Visors came in a box of spares for the car. Apparently a previous owner removed the visors (assuming they were a stock item) when the headliner was redone. Serge is the only other S1 owner that I recall who is on this forum. If he checks in may be he can chime in on the visors.

Sweet !!
Thanks

John thought I would chime in, though mine is S1A
I have a piece of aluminum that is upholstered and it hides the frame for the drivers side sun visor. Looks similar to the TC. Passenger side did not have a visor.
BTW I am super jealous about your running car!! Congrats!!!!
